Welcome to “the transition” between the EPILOGUE of Greece and The Aegean to the MAIN FEATURE of Balkanopoulos starting in Zagreb, the Capital of Croatia.
This TRANSITION introduces Paris Robert Anderson, my second cousin from Fremont in the San Francisco Bay area of California USA who flew over to meet me from Athens in Munich on the morning of 31 May 2022.
This TRANSITION also introduces our “home away from home” for the next 102 days – a brand spanking new Peugot 308 SW Automatic Diesel Station Wagon with only 3km on the clock when we picked it up.
Paris and I toured the old town of Munich that day, picked up our Balkanopoulos car the following morning near Munich Airport and drove 635km to Zagreb in Croatia overnighting near Villach in Austria along the way.
This post brings you the highlights of Munich Old Town, followed by a snap of Steindorf am Ossiacher See (a beautiful peaceful village on a lake outside of Villach) in Austria followed by Ljubljana, the classical capital of Slovenia.
It is hard to believe that a crazy Ozzie-Greek and Hollywood US-Greek is in Zagreb Croatia about to start the epic BALKANOPOULOS !!!
